Regional Teaching Programmes

YAIRN Advanced, START/CART and YAIRN ICM Regional teaching are the established regional teaching programmes. These are great opportunities to network with your peers and stay up-to-date with your knowledge. The aim of the programmes are to cover areas of the curriculum that are more difficult to obtain. They are not exam revision days.

YAIRN Advanced is for East and West Yorkshire Trainees who are ST4+ or post primary CT2+ (will need permission from your college tutors to attend YAIRN Advanced days). All ST4+ trainees are expected to attend. Teaching days run every 2/3 months.

YAIRN ICM Regional Teaching is for residents on the ICM training programme. All trainees are expected to attend

START & CART is the South Yorkshire based teaching programme which runs monthly for 1/2 days.

Pan-deanery teaching is logistically too difficult, but for more specialist topics we will aim to make sessions accessible by all
